The CO Specs manuscript was a formidable amount of content, requiring a major amount of design talent to streamline and present it. The obvious choice for this epic project was United Creatives...

United Creatives is a small, multi-award winning design firm based in Manchester, England. Their team, headed up by Creative Director Chris Edmunds, offer bespoke services for design projects large and small, working in print as well as digital.

Chris and the team worked their way through the extraordinary volume of disparate content, and came up with a unique strategy and aesthetic to pull it all together. Working with the historic content was a particular challenge; the variation in style and quality of the scans and 'tear outs' required an enormous investment of time and care to pull in line with the rest of the imagery without it feeling scatty and cobbled together. A serious task, but the results speak for themselves — 3 award nods noting the design craftsmanship — incredible work from the outstanding design team at UC. 

Perhaps most surprising, given the quality of the finished product, is that this is the first full book project United Creatives had undertaken. I think it's fair to say that it won't be their last!
