CO Specs picks up a win at the IACP (International Association of Culinary Professionals) 2021 Awards.
On Saturday October 23, 2021, the International Association of Culinary Professionals announced the winners of the prestigious IACP awards presented by Protective Insurance Company at its annual conference in Birmingham, AL, USA.
The Executive Awards Committee and Subcommittees led by IACP’s former co-director, Paola Briseño-González, updated policies and procedures this year to continue to enhance the rigor of the awards program and maintain its position as one of the most prestigious in the industry.
This year, IACP launched a new award category: best newsletter in the digital media award program led by chair Meesha Halm. The organization also updated the Narrative Beverage and Narrative Food Writing categories in the food writing award program chaired by food critic Patric Kuh. The food photography and styling program was overseen by an impressive group of judges led by acclaimed food photographer Con Poulos. The cookbook category was chaired by Chandra Ram who oversaw submissions in fifteen different categories from an incredibly diverse group of cookbook authors. Chandra was helped by her dedicated team of Super Judges, Hal B. Klein, Jacqui Pressinger, Julia Skinner, Cheryl Slocum, and Stephanie Swane.
